After Brock Lesnar defeated Kofi Kingston in 8 seconds to win the WWE Title. Both Rey Mysterio and Cain Velasquez made their way to the ring to confront Brock Lesnar.

After the match, MMA star Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut and attacked Lesnar. Velasquez was brought out by Rey Mysterio who was getting payback on Lesnar for Lesnar attacking Mysterio’s son Dominik.

The segment ended with the Beast Incarnate retreating while Cain stood tall in the ring.

Both Rey Mysterio and Cain Velasquez were interviewed backstage after the show was over and when asked about his attack on Lesnar, Velasquez said that he is here to get some payback:

Velasquez, 37, defeated Lesnar in dominant fashion at UFC 121 in October 2010 via first-round TKO to end the latter’s heavyweight championship reign after just two successful title defenses.

He last appeared in the Octagon earlier this year in February, a first-round TKO loss to rising heavyweight Francis Ngannou which also resulted in a severe knee injury.

According to a report from MMAjunkie’s Mike Bohn, Velasquez intends to withdraw from the USADA testing pool. That move would end his time as a UFC fighter and signal a move to pro wrestling. However, Vasquez recently noted that he would only become a full-time wrestler following necessary knee surgery.

Could WWE be planning to run a Lesnar-Velasquez program immediately or perhaps hold it until WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida?
