    Published on June 9, 2020

Monday Night Raw once again emanated from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, FL. Plexiglass and Performance Centre Recruits used as audience members once again. Let’s take a look at the Top 5 Raw Moments from the June 8th episode.

    5. Asuka & Charlotte Flair defeated The IIconics, Sasha Banks & Bayley

The dream team of Asuka and Flair, though short-lived, were enough to neutralise the threat from the other teams. In the closing moments of the match, the Raw Women’s Champion (Asuka) forced Billie Kay to tap out. Moments later, Flair attacked Asuka with a flying forearm, setting up their one on one match later in the evening.

After the match, Seth Rollins made an appearance on the entrance ramp wearing a Rey Mysterio mask. This distraction leads to Murphy & Theory ambushing the team and beating them down. Allowing “The Monday Night” messiah to deliver a Stomp to Aleister Black.

    3. Randy Orton promised to break Edge at WWE Backlash

The Peep Show hosted by “Captain Charisma” Christian, returned to Monday Night Raw and welcomed “The Rated R Superstar” Edge to the interview segment to talk about his “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” with Randy Orton.

Christian was honest during this heart to heart reunion and cast doubt that Edge wasn’t able to compete on the same level as Orton. As Edge humbly began to agree, it was Captain Charisma who was able to take these negative doubts and motivate the former World Heavyweight Champion.

An irritated Randy Orton interrupted The Peep Show and vowed to humiliate Edge at Backlash.

Motivated by the positive belief that he will be ready to stand tall and fight, Edge stood motivated and defiant ahead of their clash.

    2. Andrade def. Angel Garza and Kevin Owens to earn a United States Championship Match at WWE Backlash

Owens hit Garza with a Stunner and went for the cover, Andrade hit Owens with a Dropkick and stole the pinfall over Garza. Thus earning the opportunity to face Apollo Crewes for the United States Championship at Backlash.

    1. Charlotte Flair def. Asuka

To say this match was competitive would be an understatement, as both participants held nothing back. During the match, Asuka was distracted by an interfering Nia Jax. As soon as Asuka was able to deal with the incoming threat, she was caught by a big boot to the face by Flair, leading to a pinfall victory for The Queen.
