On 5th October 2020, Wrestling Travel tweeted out a video highlighting The Rock taking Stone Cold Stunners, which he’s taken over the years from Stone Cold Steve Austin.
The Rock was very well renowned for his selling of Stone Cold Stunners during the heyday of the Attitude Era.
A compilation to brighten up everyone’s Monday, ended up with The Rock revealing the reason for the ‘overselling’ of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s stunners.
The Rock quote retweet Wrestling Travel’s tweet “Good Lord this was an awesome time in pro-wrestling. Electrifying crowds.”
He went on “The crazy stunner bumps I would take started by me trying to make Stone Cold Steve Austin laugh. If it weren’t for the crowds going batshit you could here Steve say “Jesuuuus Chriiist” #ohhellyeah @wwe”
The last time The Rock received a famous Stone Cold Stunner was in Steve Austin’s final match at WrestleMania 19 in Seattle.
It has been highly anticipated that The Rock will return for a showdown bout with blood relative, Roman Reigns, at WrestleMania 37.
Roman Reigns (now managed by Paul Heyman) is currently embroiled in a rivalry on SmackDown with blood relatives Jey & Jimmy Uso, with Reigns claiming he is The Tribal Chief and ‘Head of the table’
The Rock last competed in a WWE ring at WrestleMania 32, defeating then Wyatt Family member, Erick Rowan, within just a few seconds, which ultimately set a WrestleMania record for the shortest match in history.
