Wrestling Travel’s North American EVP, Dave Hancock, visited the world-famous ECW Arena, in Philadelphia, for the first-time ever this past weekend. Now named the 2300 Arena, the venue is an iconic building that is a huge part of wrestling history.
Dave was on-hand for the final night of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s ‘Fighting Spirit Unleashed’ which featured Hiroshi Tanahashi, Robert Gibson, Ricky Morton, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, taking on the team of Gedo, Chase Owens, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga, KENTA, and Jay White.
Following the event, Dave told us “Being able to see New Japan Pro Wrestling in a historic venue such as the former ECW Arena was very special.”
He continued “NJPW’s appearances in North America are already rare, but to attend Fighting Spirit Unleashed at such hallowed ground was a memory that will last a lifetime.”
