Monday night saw Raw once again emanate from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The fall-out from the Money in the Bank PPV was in full swing. Let’s take a look at the Top 5 moments from this weeks episode.

    5.
    The IIconics Return

After a lengthy absence, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay made their return to WWE TV on Raw. Interrupting Alexa Bliss’ ‘A Moment of Bliss’ episode, The IIconics challenged the Raw Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross to a title match. Although not getting their wish, Royce & Kay did beat Bliss & Cross in a non-title match, placing them as the next contenders for a title match in the near future.

MVP and Bobby Lashley Join Forces

At Money in the Bank, MVP was scheduled to face R-Truth. Just before the match was due to begin, Bobby Lashley came out and instructed MVP to have ‘the night off’. Lashley then beat R-Truth with ease. 24 hours later, MVP gave Lashley a pep talk about letting the real Lashley out, as he hadn’t had a world title match since 2007. As MVP walked away to let Lashley think about it, he bumped into Lana where MVP advised if Lashley was looking for some management then to come find him. Later in the night, Lashley assisted MVP beating down R-Truth following a 6-man tag team match.

    3.
    Rollins Injures Mysterio

At Money in the Bank, the ‘Monday Night Messiah’ Seth Rollins lost in his quest to reclaim the Universal Championship from Drew McIntyre, in what was a fantastic match. On Raw, Rollins was pitted in a tag-team match, teaming with Buddy Murphy against Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio. The match ended when Rollins viciously assaulted Rey Mysterio, who 24 hours prior had been ‘thrown from the roof’ of WWE HQ. Rollins made a clear statement by grabbing Mysterio’s face and pushing it directly into the corner of the steel steps outside of the ring, causing a serious eye injury to the master of the 619.

    2.
Edge vs. Orton One More Time

Edge and Randy Orton returned to Raw for the first time since their gruelling Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36. Orton challenged Edge to a Wrestling match at the next pay-per-view special, Backlash. Orton believes Edge is still rusty in the ring, so Orton will be able to gain an advantage. Orton tried to get in the head of Edge to make him believe he doesn’t have what it takes to wrestle anymore.

Becky Announces She’s Pregnant, Asuka Is The New Raw Women’s Champion

In the non-storyline moment of the night, Becky Lynch announced that she will be leaving the WWE for a while to become a mother. Lynch kicked off Raw with Asuka’s Money in the Bank briefcase, to which Becky eventually revealed that last night’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match was for the Raw Women’s Title. Asuka became the new Raw Women’s Champion in storyline, but Becky will welcome a baby into her life in December with her real-life partner, Seth Rollins. Congratulations to both!
