According to PWInsider, John Hennigan, has already signed a deal to return to WWE, where he will presumably be John Morrison once again (or maybe Johnny Morrison, in keeping with his more recent personas). There’s no news on when he debuts, but considering what how huge next week is shaping up to be, it won’t be surprising if we see him then.

Hennigan began his WWE journey back in 2002, when he was a contestant on Tough Enough, where he became co-winner with Matt Cappotelli. From there Morrison signed a developmental contract and went on to become a 3-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and carried the Tag Team titles 4-times in memorable runs with Joey Mercury and The Miz, respectively.

After leaving WWE in 2011, due to injuries and creative frustrations, he went on to perform for promotions such as; Lucha Underground, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide & Impact Wrestling.

Hennigan was also a contestant on the 37th season of the US hit reality show, Survivor, where he finished 12th. He’s married to Taya Valkyrie, who is still involved at Impact Wrestling and AAA, but if she eventually finds her way to WWE as well, that could also be a great addition for the company.
